Also, there might be a need for you to get an orbital sander. They are easy to use and are generally not that expensive. You can use these to smooth out either wooden or metal surfaces. This orbital sander will be best to use on items that can be easily damaged. The smoothing process can be more controlled and thus the finish is more delicate and is smoother. However, these types of sanders can be more expensive than a palm sander. So, if you have tasks that require sanding but do not necessarily have to worry about some damage to the material, you can stick to a palm sander to be able to save a few bucks.
